Linus Christ Superstar
The Internet proudly presents; An Operating Systems production;
Starring: Linus Torvalds as himself, Richard Stallman as Judas Iscariot, Bill Gates as Caiaphas, Ron Hevsepian (as CEO of Novell) as Pontius Pilate and Steve Jobs (as CEO of Apple) as King Herods.

Ok, some of them are pretty flawed. I’m least happy with Stallman as Judas. Eric Raymon might be a bette choice but I’ll keep Stallman as understudy
Enough blasphemy for the day …

Why do you see Stallman as a traitor? Because of the inability to sell GPL’d software?

I’ve should have anticipated that comment, but where would the fun be in that?
You have to differ between the traditional popular christian view of Judas Iscariot, the Traitor, and the view of Judas as expressend in Andres Lloyd Webber’s Jesus Christ Superstar.
I think the question about Judas’ role in the Passion is more complex than just “Judas, the traitor”. Yes, Judas betrays Jesus, but without Judas’ betrayal Jesus wouldn’t die for our sins. So the problem with Judas is wether he betrayed Jesus out of free will or he did it as part of a greater plan form God’s side? Judas betrayal is a necessary part of the Passion.
The role of Judas as expresses in Jesus Christ Superstar is more of the angry follower of the lead character and when he thinks that Jesus is straying from the pure path he takes action and thereby unknowingly scracifies himself.
And where did you get the notion that there was any inability to sell GPL’d software?
